Students learn about olive oil and winemaking; tour Rome, Florence, Venice and many areas of the Tuscany region; and spend quality time with their Italian host families in the small town of Reggello.
This program is possible through the generosity of Louella H. Reese and the Gilbert Reese Family Foundation. Thanks to the Reese family and their efforts to sustain this program, COTC gives students a competitive edge in the global marketplace.
During the summer of 2019, COTC and area community members hosted students and youth from the community of Reggello. This marks the 10th year that COTC has conducted the Italian Immersion program in which COTC sends a group of students to the Tuscany region of Italy and then hosts Italian students in Ohio in alternating years.
