COTC Showcase Brings Culinary Science Up Close

​​​NEWARK, Ohio, April 7th, 2015 —Central Ohio Technical College will host its Culinary Science Showcase, Tuesday, April 28th from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm in the John Gilbert Reese Center. Admission is free. Attendants will participate in hands-on cooking demonstrations and topic discussions; tour kitchen facilities; learn about the COTC culinary science program; meet faculty members and current students; and enjoy delicious food created during the event. All prospective students interested in the Culinary Science Technology program or culinary careers are invited to attend this event.

“Our showcase presents participants with a hands-on experience, because that’s exactly how our program educates its students,” says Matt Russo, Culinary Science instructor. There will be presentations on careers in the industry and detailed information on what Culinary Science has to offer. Currently, a two year associate’s degree is available, as well as a newly-implemented one-year certificate with an abridged curriculum.
