NEWARK, Ohio, Feb. 28, 2019 — Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) will hold information sessions for anyone interested in becoming a peace officer in Ohio. COTC's peace officer basic training is in the top two among open academies in the state and is available in many formats to fit your needs. Classes begin on May 13, 2019.
Attending a session is mandatory for anyone interested in applying for the program. Information sessions will be held at COTC's Newark campus on the following dates:
• Monday, March 4 at 10 a.m. in the John L. and Christine Warner Library and Student Center room 126
• Wednesday, March 20 at 2 p.m. in Adena Hall room 112
• Tuesday, March 26 at 11 a.m. in Hopewell Hall room 53
COTC's peace officer basic training exceeds the requirements of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission and positions students to excel on the state certification exam.
