June 10, 2015—Newark, OH— Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is hosting an Engineering Technology Day on June 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in LeFevre Hall at the Newark campus. This event is free and open to the public. Participants can explore the newly redesigned Engineering Technology degrees and certificates, while taking part in hands-on exploration of the high-tech engineering technology labs and classrooms.
"Engineering Technology Day is a great opportunity to tour the campus and hear directly from faculty, graduates and employers," said Amir Nassirharand, Ph.D., Engineering Technology Program Director, "plus – a number of hands-on activities will give everyone the chance to experience the technology and discuss the many different career paths available with a degree in Engineering Technology."
The Engineering Technology program at COTC prepares graduates for an array of STEM-related careers. Students can earn Associate of Applied Science degrees in Engineering Technology, Electrical Trades Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, and Heavy Equipment Operation Technology. Students may choose from a diverse range of engineering technology majors, including architectural, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering technology. One year engineering technology certificates are available in architectural computer aided drafting, civil computer aided drafting or heavy equipment operator.
