NEWARK, Ohio, February 5, 2018 — Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) Institute for Public Services and Safety will be holding a Public Services and Safety Day Career Open House. It will be held at COTC's Pataskala campus, 8660 East Broad Street on March 29, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
School counselors, students and interested educators are invited to attend. During the open house, there will be an overview of each of the six programs that are a part of the Institute for Public Services and Safety. The programs offered include Criminal Justice Technology, Early Childhood Education Technology, Emergency Medical Services Technology, Fire Science Technology, Human Services Program and Law Enforcement Technology.
All of these programs address various aspects of public safety and public service that reflect current trends within each specific professional field as well as providing all students with the general education background that is necessary for transfer credit and is needed to meet the associate degree graduation requirements. During this time the program faculty will be available to discuss the programs in detail.
The area of public service and safety is critical to serving the needs of communities everywhere and graduates of the Institute for Public Services and Safety find themselves in very challenging and rewarding jobs in Ohio and elsewhere.
