CCNA Training Available at COTC

NEWARK, Ohio, April 28, 2017 – Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Training (part 1) is now available at Central Ohio Technical College (COTC). CCNA training occurs over five days, with a series occurring: May 16, 18, 19, 23, & 25, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. each date.

The program addresses fundamental and advanced computer networking concepts, as well as real-world technical application, especially within a rapidly changing environment. The five, four-hour segments are interactive, including a direct-approach to understanding the fundamental and advanced modern networking conventions for applications in the information technology and egineering industries. CCNA offers a globally recognized certification, and our thorough, hands-on training will prepare you for it.

The CCNA 1 Training series is led by Asif Khan, associate professor of engineering technology and IT (ADJ) and engineering/ IT Lab Coordinator at COTC. The sessions entail: fundamentals of computer networking; LAN switching fundamentals; routing fundamentals; infrastructure services; and infrastructure maintenance.

CCNA training is offered through a collaborative effort between the Workforce Development Innovation Center (WDIC) at COTC and the information technology department at COTC. This stackable course approach is designed for the segments to be taken in succession, and it is available for an investment of $219 per participant (or a team of up to six for a group rate of $1,194). The May option of CCNA training will take place on the shared campus of Central Ohio Technical College and Ohio State Newark in LeFevre Hall (next to the Reese Center), Room 115, 1209 University Dr., Newark, Ohio.
