Annual Scholarship Breakfast

Annual Scholarship Breakfast

More than 150 benefactors, scholars and their families and friends, faculty and staff attend Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark’s annual Scholarship Breakfast in late autumn each year. The purpose of the annual event is to recognize scholarship donors and recipients. Students have the opportunity to meet and personally thank the generous benefactors who provide their scholarship awards. These donors are recognized for their philanthrop y to further the education of these college and university students.

Despite COTC’s affordable tuition, many students still cannot afford to attend college without scholarship assistance. “Working students often fall through the cracks when it comes to federal and state financial aid. Private scholarships provided by our generous donors can really make the difference for these students,” said Bonnie L. Coe, Ph.D, president, Central Ohio Technical College.

“An advantage for donors is that their philanthropy goes a lot further at COTC because of our low tuition,” Coe explained. “Many of our donors like the fact that their gifts can impact more students.”

If you are interested in donating to our existing scholarship fund or in establishing a fund in honor or memory of someone , please call Central Ohio Technical College’s Development Office, 740-364-9514 or email Laura Walsh at for more information.
