Mr. Ramser was born in Mount Vernon in 1954, grew up near Jelloway, and attended school at Loudonville.  After graduation from The Ohio State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science of Business Administration degree, majoring in accounting, he worked for Kraft Foods as a corporate auditor from 1975 through 1980.  A business opportunity to purchase Ohio Cumberland Gas Company and to work with his father, brought him back to Knox County in 1980.  Since 1987, Ramser has been president of Ohio Cumberland Gas Company, which provides natural gas service to residential, commercial, and industrial customers in six counties in central Ohio.

During the past 25 years, Ramser’s life has focused on family, business, and community involvement.  He and his wife Denise have three children: Betsy, Russell and Hayley.  Tennis and community activities are his avocations.
